INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MICROBIOLOGY, AGRICULTURE & ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES - ICMAES, 2016

The Two day International Conference On Microbiology, Agriculture & Environmental Sciences, was organized by the Department of Microbiology, St. Pious X degree and P.G college for women,Nacharam, Hyderabad on 1st& 2nd September 2016 in collaboration with IMRF Vijayawada, which is a non profit academic and research unit.
The inaugural session witnessed prominent dignitaries like Dr K S Ratnakar (the chief guest), Dr D Bala Ratnakar, Director - International Multidisciplinary Research Foundation, Dr P Bhaskar Reddy, Life Science Coordinator - International Multidisciplinary Research Foundation, and Dr. PV Vara Prasad. Director, Sustainable intensification innovation lab, university Distinguished professor, Crop ecophysiology, Kansas state University, Manhattan, Kansas, USA. The session was presided over by dignitaries from the St. Pious X College for Women’s governing body represented by Rev. Sr. Manickyam - Principal, Rev. Sr. Japamala – Correspondent, and Rev. Sr. Velangani – Vice Principal.
The prestigious IMRF excellence award was presented to Dr. P V Varaprasad garu on account of the research he has done in crop science. In his keynote address the Chief Guest Dr.K.S. Ratnakar, focused on global issues and quoted Gandhi’s words saying, “I do not seek kingdoms, I do not seek rebirth, I do not want heavens, just remove the suffering from all the countrymen” .
During the inaugural program the proceedings of the conference, ICMAES 2016 and Life Sciences Journal were also released.
This two day event featured presentations from renowned academicians and their area of work and latest research based on the theme of the conference. Over 200 students, faculty members among others have registered for the conference as participants.
