The department of Physics of St. Pious College, has organized a one day workshop on experimental physics on 8-07-2017 in collaboration with Texla Scientifics , Hyderabad.  Physics faculty from 16 colleges from various districts of Telangana  have attended.

Prof. J. Shiva Kumar, Head Department of Physics, Osmania University, who was the chief guest for the programme delivered the key note address.  He has insisted that students should be encouraged to do more number of practicals in each  semester to understand theoretical concepts.

Prof. C. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Board of Studies, Osmania University has addressed the participants on CBCS pattern, introduced at UG level.  He also asked the faculty to renew their teaching skills and generate interest in the students for learning the practicals.

Sr. Velangini, Principal, St.Pious X Degree & PG College for Women, appreciated the physics department for coming up with a good idea of organizing one day faculty development program in experimental physics.

Dr. Komala, Head Department of Physics, spoke on significance of the workshop and also announced that the experiments demonstrated in the workshop will be available in the drop box app, the link for which will be provided.
